Mosaic of Memory
2007 Born in a family of French Jewish refugees from Lithuania, cut off from the remainder of her family in the Soviet Union, Odile Suganas goes on an odyssey through the cities of Europe to newly independent Lithuania. It is a journey through time as well as space and the tales her parents told her as a child begin to take on definite form. From memories and snatches of speech arises sorrow, the family mosaic, a tale of tragedy. Odile Suganas, philologist and author, has worked for UNESCO and the French embassy to the United States. She writes for the French press and researches the history of Jews of Lithuania. ISBN 978-9955-767-00-8 80 pp., 2007, Lithuanian
