Visual and decorative art collection | The visual art items in the Museum’s collection are comprised of painting, sculpture and graphic arts groups.
The most important items in the visual arts collection include: works by early 20th century Kaunas Art School students Zale Beker and Cherne Percikovichiute and émigrés Max Band, Arbit Blat of Neemiya and Mane Kats. Also included in the collection are paintings by Jaques Lipschitz, Samuel Bak, Bentsion Michotom and Isaia Kulvianski; graphic works by Shein Efron, Hadasa Gurevich, Fania Lev, Yehuda Epshtein and Aleksandr Bogen; and sculpture by Mark Antokolski, Ilya Ginsburg and Natan Aronson, students of the famous Ivan Trutniov Shool of Drawing in Vilnius and other early 20th century Vilnius art schools.
Paintings by Augustinas Savickas, Adomas Jacovskis, Aleksandr Manusov, Solomon Teitelbaum and Dina Portnovaite; graphic works by Adasa Skliutauskaite, Aleksandra Jacovskyte and Galina Bleich; and sculpture by Tamara Janova and Romuoldas Incirauskas as well as other works from the latter half of the 20th century are also collected in the art collection.
