EXHIBITION “VILNA GHETTO POSTERS” OPENED IN LONDON

On September 20, few days before the National Memorial Day for the Genocide of Lithuanian Jews, exhibition of the Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum “Vilna Ghetto Posters” was opened in the Lithuanian Embassy in London. The attendees were greeted by the Lithuanian Ambassador in the United Kingdom Renatas Norkus and vice-president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews Dr Sheila Gewolb. The memorial candles were lit by rabbi Herschel Gluck who is the founder of Arab-Jewish forum. The exhibition, which contains over a dozen posters from the Vilna Ghetto, was presented by the head of museum‘s History Research Department Neringa Latvytė-Gustaitienė. The event ended with a concert by opera singer Rafailas Karpis and piano player Darius Mažintas.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until October 17.
