PLAY “JOB – A SIMPLE MAN”

On September 24 at 7 p.m. a play “Job – a Simple Man” will be held in museum’s Tolerance Center (Naugarduko St. 10/2, Vilnius) in cooperation with the Danish Embassy in Vilnius. The play is based on the novel by Joseph Roth and depicts emigrant’s journey from a small village in Russia to the New World – Manhattan, New York. Mendel Singer is an ordinary man, who, like Job in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament), experiences loss, devastation, damnation, and eventually – a miracle.

The play features award-winning Danish actress Ina-Miriam Rosenbaum. The play will be held in Danish with Lithuanian and English subtitles. The duration is 1 hour 25 minutes. The entrance is free.
