08.03: Guided Tour "Hidden History: Woman in War"

Throughout history, the narratives of women in wartime have been crucial yet frequently overlooked. Our exhibition has sought to shine a spotlight on these incredible stories of resilience, courage, and contribution.

 

These women, often having lost their families and homes to the Holocaust, joined resistance groups in the forests. Operating in the dense forests of Lithuania, these women were integral members of the groups, undertaking various roles essential for their units` success and survival.

 

Learn what it meant to be a woman during the war and discover how they balanced the fight for survival with the hope for freedom.
