Screening of films about Soviet dissidents

On 6th November at 6 PM the Museum of Culture and Identity of Lithuanian Jews, we will remember the famous Soviet dissidents Natalia Gorbanevskaya and Victor Fainberg.

 

Two films by the documentary filmmakers Ksenia and Kirill Sakharnov will tell the story of people who were not afraid of the Soviet regime and took to Red Square to protest against the USSR`s invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968.

 

The two films will debut in Lithuania: "Natalia Gorbanevskaya: I am not a Hero" (2016) and "Victor Fainberg: Madly in dissent" (2023). The director herself will come from Poland to present the films.
