Samuel Bak, a Holocaust survivor and a master of visual storytelling, has been painting for over eight decades. Born in Vilnius, referred to as the “Jerusalem of the North”, holds a special place in Bak`s heart and work.

It was in Vilnius that Bak first displayed his remarkable talent, showcasing his first exhibition at the age of nine in the Vilna Ghetto. His paintings are rich with allegorical content, often addressing themes of loss, identity, and the human condition. Today, even being 91 years old, Samuel Bak continues to create and inspire, demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to his craft.
