Before the war Teklė and Feliksas Bušauskas lived in Guronys village, Aukštadvaris rural district. They had eight children. Feliksas was their eldest child. The Bušauskas were good acquaintances of the Kalamickas (Kalamitzky) family who had a farm in Sepijoniškės village located several kilometres from Guronys village. When the war broke out, the Bušauskas hid eight Jews: Itzik Kalamickas, his wife Ida Kalamickienė, their sons Jacob and David, Ida Kalamickienė’s mother Bluma Berkman and sisters Sheina and Raya with her little son Emmanuel. The Jews hid in the cellar, in the attic, in the sauna or in the barn full of hay. Faced with the danger of imminent searchers, without any further ado and in the middle of the day, Feliksas Bušauskas took their wards to Dimša who lived in Klėriškės village, then later to the Paškauskas where they stayed till the end of the war.
